Police officer injured in Ho Man Tin road operation
A police officer was injured during an operation on Princess Margaret Road on Friday night. In a video circulating online, swarms of officers had surrounded a northbound silver vehicle opposite Hung Hom Divisional Police Station. Some of them had drawn their guns and demanded the driver pull over. But the driver refused to cooperate, and tried to break free from the road block by jolting back and forth. The driver eventually came to a halt after colliding with another vehicle, before being apprehended. One officer who was hit in the waist was helped up by other colleagues, and led onto a police van. A second driver caught in the incident suffered neck injuries. All northbound lanes of the major thoroughfare were sealed off at around 8.40pm, causing severe traffic disruption.
