MAFS UK first couple uncovered as groom admits 'it could end really bad'

MAFS: Groom plays 'risky' teeth prank on his bride

Married At First Sight UK has unveiled its first couple of the new season, setting the stage for another round of matrimonial fireworks on E4. The hit show is set to make a grand return next month, with episodes also available on the Channel 4 catch-up service.

A fresh batch of hopeful singles will tie the knot at first sight in what promises to be yet another sensational series.

A sneak peek has already sent fans into a frenzy, showcasing the initial sparks or misfires between 30 year old dog walker Kristina and 28 year old mechanic Kieran. However, their union hits a snag when Kristina becomes unsettled by a particular incident.

In a video leaked by The Sun, Kieran's attempt at humour backfires when he sports fake teeth as a wedding day gag, prompting a shocked reaction from Kristina who exclaims, "These teeth," followed by an incredulous "What the f--k?"

Kieran's antics raise the tension during their awkward first encounter, leaving him to question his own judgement: "I think the teeth could make us look a little bit immature. I'm a little bit nervous to see how it goes," reports the Mirror.

He confesses his apprehension about the prank, "This could really end up bad. I just want to know if this girl's fun."

Anticipation is building as the start date in mid-September nears, with E4 expected to reveal the full lineup of participants imminently.

Former Married At First Sight star Georges Berthonneau has opened up about his dramatic weight loss and the emotional rollercoaster he experienced post-show.

Speaking to The Sun, Georges revealed: "The fame rose very quickly, and it dropped equally as quick. And that's OK. But I kind of lost myself after the show.

"I fell out of love with myself and I didn't really know what I was doing and what my focus or purpose was anymore."

He expressed regret over leaving his job for the reality TV stint, branding the decision "a mistake". "It was pretty dumb of me.

I wish I'd never done the show at times. I wish I'd never done the show not for any other reason than how they treat you. They're very manipulative," he said, noting that this sentiment is echoed by other former Love Island stars who have felt similarly exploited.

On the topic of his weight loss, Georges stated: "My life has always been fitness, and I knew I needed to sort myself out.

"I have had a lifestyle change and I love walking as that has helped me to shift the weight too. So I've really been focusing on my fitness business and my coaching and I want to help people change their lives."

Episodes of Married at First Sight UK are available to stream on Channel 4.
