In just over one week the 2024 summer window will have slammed shut with all transfer business being put on the backburner until January.

But before then, there’s still plenty of time for Premier League clubs to flex their financial muscle and get deals across the line.

And with that in mind, Express Sport have put together a list of crazy late transfers that could still be completed between now and 30 August.

If you’re going to be exiled from training, it’s probably best that happens early in the summer, so it gives you and your agent plenty of time to sort out a move away.

It’s been the opposite for Raheem Sterling though, with the ex-Manchester City ace likely to spend the next few days scrambling around for a new club.

But given the time constraints between now and the end of the window, Sterling might have to settle for something closer to home.

What if that turns out to be Arsenal on a season-long loan? The Gunners could benefit from some added wing depth, with Mikel Arteta having worked alongside Sterling during the pair’s time at City.

Joe Gomez to Chelsea

Who knows where Chelsea’s spending spree will end, but it will take a brave person to bet against them adding yet more players to their squad this summer.

Joao Felix became the latest signing, but depending on how well Chelsea are able to shift players, there might be a need for a late home-grown addition.

Having already lost Conor Gallagher, the likes of Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah and Noni Madueke have also been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge.

Should Chelsea feel the need to bolster up their home-grown options, Liverpool’s Joe Gomez - who is reportedly available for transfer - could prove the perfect option.

Ivan Toney to Manchester City

As per The Athletic, City are expected to turn their attention to securing a new striker after a move for Ilkay Gundogan is complete.

Kyogo Furuhashi has been mooted as a potential candidate, but the reigning champions could have their interest piqued by Ivan Toney, should the striker’s proposed Saudi switch fall through.

Brentford may be tempted into accepting a lower offer, given the player has one year left on his deal, with Toney unlikely to need much persuading to join the side that’s won six of the previous seven Premier League titles.

Victor Osimhen to Manchester United

Finally, a move that would send shockwaves across European football… Victor Osimhen to Manchester United.

Several dominos would have to fall into place for this one to become a reality, but if Osimhen becomes available at a respectable price, it could prove too good an opportunity for United to turn down.

While they might have Rasmus Hojlund and new boy Joshua Zirkzee on their books already, Osimhen is a step above any player in the squad and the Napoli star could be what Erik ten Hag needs to transform United into title contenders.
