Bill Bailey talks about dealing with asthma and new hair cut

Strictly Come Dancing's Bill Bailey has candidly discussed his lifelong battle with asthma and how it has often hindered his ability to stay active. Despite the challenges, the 59 year old comedian-turned-dancer refuses to let his condition dictate his life.

He has joined the Keep Moving campaign, aiming to motivate others who are also grappling with health issues to remain active, even when each day presents its own struggles.

Bill, who has been a part of the campaign for two years, has not only offered his support but has also made a significant change in his personal life. The BBC star has ditched his trademark look for a fresh clean-shaven appearance, which has garnered considerable attention from his celebrity friends online.

During a chat with Ranvir Singh, who is currently filling in for Lorraine on her eponymous show, Bill revealed that he had finally decided to cut his long hair.

When asked by Ranvir if his new look was the result of a "mid-life crisis", the musical comedian responded: "Probably." However, Bill shared that he felt he'd "received a message from the universe" to go for a chop, reports the Daily Record.

The actor recounted a close call while cooking over an open fire, where his long locks almost caught fire. This near-miss, according to Bill, was the wake-up call he needed to make a change.

However, after finally mustering the courage to visit the hairdresser, he admitted feeling disappointed while seated in the barber's chair. He had informed the stylist about his signature ponytail and assumed it would be a "big deal", but with one swift cut, it was all over.

Bill took to social media to reveal his new look, which garnered significant attention. His close friend Dawn French was quick to compliment him.

Beneath the post showcasing his hair transformation, the Vicar Of Dibley star expressed her admiration, writing: "May I just say phoar."
