A fresh TV comedy series featuring famous faces from British TV and rising stars is coming to BBC Two. We Might Regret This focuses on a tetraplegic artist named Freya who relocates to London with her partner Abe and her round-the-clock live-in carer.

Due to Freya's disability, their shared living situation also involves personal assistants, who are constantly present - a third party within earshot for every romantic moment and household argument. Freya struggles to find the right person to be a PA and instead invites her chaotic and impulsive best mate Jo to take on the role.

The story is inspired by the lived experience of co-writers Kyla Harris and Lee Getty and Lee's time as Harris' PA in real life. We Might Regret This’ first episode will be aired at 10pm on Monday, August 19 on BBC Two and subsequent episodes will broadcast weekly at the same time slot.

The series features Kyla Harris as Freya, The Outlaws and Spy star, Darren Boyd as Abe, Industry actress Elena Saurel as Jo, Raised by Wolves' Aasiya Shah and comedy actress Sally Phillips. Here is the full cast list.

Kyla Harris is a Canadian tetraplegic in her thirties when she moves to London to live with Abe. When asked what viewers should take away from the new series, Kyla Harris said: "I really hope people come away with less fear of disabled people, the idea of becoming disabled and prejudice towards mobility devices.

"So much of what we know about the above is based on learnt perception, for example, the only difference between a bicycle and a wheelchair is the judgement we place on a wheelchair as a mobility device, when actually wheelchair’s are the most freeing modes of transportation."

This is Kyla’s first major role.

Darren Boyd plays Freya’s partner Abe, a lawyer in his 50s, recently divorced with an an adult son.

Darren Boyd is one of the more recognisable faces in the series thanks to his supporting roles in British TV over the last 10 to 15 years. Darren Boyd played Frank Haleton in Killing Eve, Tim Elliot in Sky1 show Spy, Markus Huseklepp in Fortitude, Superintendent Dave Minty in The Salisbury Poisonings and Greg in comedy series The Outlaws.

Elena Saurel plays Jo

Freya’s friend and now personal assistant Jo is brought into the home to help her friend - even if she has her own hang ups.

The actress is a rising star in British TV following her roles as Anna Gearing in the drama series Industry and Olivia in the ITV sitcom Buffering.

Sally Phillips plays Jane

Jane is Abe’s former wife and the mother of their son Levi. They still aim to keep a positive relationship over the course of the series.

Sally Phillips has appeared in a host of popular shows such as Miranda, I'm Alan Partridge and the Bridget Jones films, as well as sketch show Smack the Pony, Jam & Jerusalem and Veep.
