22 Kids and Counting star confirms career move as she makes family discovery

22 Kids: Noel and Sue make way to booking signing event

In a sneak peek from tonight's episode of 22 Kids and Counting, Sue Radford makes a startling family discovery, leaving her clan utterly gobsmacked. Compelled by the surprising twists in her family lineage, the mother-of-22 is inspired to chronicle the Radford legacy.

"Heidi, you are Daisy's auntie," Sue declares, leaving her family bewildered by the revelation. Sally Lindsay, the show's narrator, then notes: "A family tree produces some unusual results."

Daisy expresses her astonishment to the cameraL "Heidi is my auntie yet she is younger than me," while Lindsay observes that this intrigues Sue.

Noel can't contain his disbelief at Sue's ambition to pen a book, quipping: "When Sue said she has got plans to write a book, I thought, 'She must be bonkers'."

The moment of truth arrives when Sue's literary endeavour materialises, to the elation of both parents. "It's here," Noel announces as the book delivery confirms the reality of Sue's dream, but worries loom over their upcoming book launch, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Sue glows as she presents their story in print, proudly commenting: "Look, it's us. It is a very proud moment."

Yet as the couple heads off to sign copies for expecting fans, anxiety begins to cloud their excitement.

During their discussion about potential attendance, Sue nervously inquires: "How many people do you think will turn up? to which Noel half-joking replies: "Four."

A separate snippet provided to Lancashire Live unveils a lighter side as Sue and Noel discuss their romantic life candidly with ghostwriter Paddy, offering a refreshingly frank look into their relationship.

Questioned about the consistency of their intimacy over time, Paddy probes: "Somebody would like to know 'Is your sex life today just the same as it ever was?'"

The response from Sue is filled with laughter: "We prefer sleep now, don't we," which Noel endorses: "Yeah."

Clearly amused by their honesty, Paddy concludes: "That's a great story that."

The preview for the forthcoming episode states: "Something's up with Tillie, and Noel and Sue are determined to get the bottom of it, but what they find is truly shocking.

"After weeks of coming home from school in tears, Noel confronts Tillie only to discover she's been bullied about her disability. With a hospital appointment looming, will the bullying sway Tillie's decision against the operation she desperately needs?"

It wraps up with: "Sue Radford becomes a bestselling author after grandchild Daisy's homework project expands, I mean Radford large. Noel believes she's gone off the rails but Sue is resolute, and when they are invited to the book signing, Sue demonstrates her faith was not unfounded."

22 Kids and Counting returns on Sunday at 8pm on Channel 5.
