ITV Good Morning Britain pulled off air mid-row as Molly Mae and Tommy spat gets heated

Ranvir and Adil end GMB during a debate on Molly Mae and Tommy

Good Morning Britain presenters Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray were forced to cut off two guests as a debate about Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury got heated.

Talk TV presenter Cristo Foufas and Sarah Tetteh went head to head as they argued over whether the Love Island couple's split is the modern day equivalent of Charles and Diana.

This came after Trisha Goddard made the comparison while presenting the hit ITV show earlier in the week, sparking a debate on whether the reality couple could be compared to royalty.

As the row began to descend into a shouting match, Ranvir and Adil were forced to intervene as they ended the show mid-argument.

It then went over to Andi Peters in the Lorraine studio, who said: "I think I can still hear them going at it."

During the debate, Sarah said: "When the news broke of their split, the agenda changed. They actually knocked Harry and Meghan's tour in Colombia off the top spot."

Cristo sniped back: "Which sums up everything that is wrong in modern day society, the fact that it was breaking news, it was on every news channel."

Later in the debate, Sarah insisted: "Molly and Tommy have global appeal," as Cristo responded: "Oh that is absolutely nonsense, you really think the kinds of crowds that turned out in Australia or America for Charles and Diana would turn out for Tommy and Molly?"

GMB's poll revealed that only 3% of viewers agreed with Sarah that they were the equivalent of Charles and Diana.

Sarah then jumped in and called out: "Molly Mae and Tommy are the future," as the pair then began rowing with each other while Ranvir and Adil attempted to end the show and hand over to Adil, with the show coming off air while the pair still bickered.

GMB airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
