Tom Cruise leaves Olympics fans saying same thing as 'huge stunt' sparks frenzy

Hollywood icon Tom Cruise left Olympics viewers all with the same questions as they awaited his dramatic arrival at the Paris closing ceremony.

Cruise is expected to appear at the ceremony as part of the Los Angeles handover, with huge stars such as Snoop Dogg and Billie Eilish taking on the handover celebration ahead of the 2028 competition.

He is known for his love of performing his own high-octane stunts, from jumping out of planes to climing to the top of the Burj Khalifa. Ahead of his appearance, fans rushed to social media to ask the same thing - what huge stunt was Tom planning?

One viewer said: "Anyone know what Tom Cruise will be doing at the Paris Olympics #ClosingCeremony Will he abseil or parachute in maybe to collect the torch?" Another added: "Me just waiting to see what Tom Cruise is going to do..."

A third chipped in: "Come on then, let’s see Tom Cruise zip line in to collect the Olympic flag for LA28." A fourth agreed: "If Tom Cruise doesn’t throw himself off the roof of the stadium I’ll be very upset."

Reports have suggested Tom is planning on rappelling down the side of the State de France, and will land inside on the field with the Olympics flag.

Ahead of Los Angeles taking on the Olympics, the acting legend is said to have filmed a clip back in March that will welcome the games to the iconic city in California.

Cruise is said to end the clip by scaling down the famous Hollywood sign after being filmed flying from Paris to LA, but nothing has been confirmed by the actor, so fans will have to wait and see.

All that is known so far is that Cruise is in Paris celebrating the games, as he was seen cheering on American gymnast Simone Biles in the stands.

His ex-wife Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban were also seen at the Paris event, although they opted for a skateboarding event.

Meanwhile, Cruise is expected to be joined by rapper Snoop Dogg, Billie Eilish and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, who will perform in Los Angeles and will be beamed live to the ceremony.
