Hazel Irvine's remarks cause Olympics frenzy as BBC fans make Andrew Cotter demand

Beloved BBC presenter Hazel Irvine left Olympics fans all saying the same thing as she reunited with Andrew Cotter once again to commentate the Paris closing ceremony.

As the two week event came to a show-stopping close, Hazel and Andrew talked viewers at home through the proceedings as the Olympic competitors showed off their various medals in a parade.

Andrew clearly decided it was a good time to regale Hazel with facts about the famous Olympics medal, as fans rushed to share their joy at the pair's rapport with each other. Others rushed to ask for the pair to be rewarded for their entertaining commentary.

One said: "Loving the commentary from Andrew Cotter and Hazel Irvine Wish I’d been around to watch the opening ceremony. Perfect blend of dry humour, sarcasm, knowledge and fun!"

Hazel and Andrew were also praised for their stellar work during the Paris opening ceremony, which sparked divide with viewers due to a "slow" boat parade with each country and their competitors sailing down the Seine, as well as controversial "Last Supper" sketch, which sparked many complaints.

However, fans loved the pairing of Hazel and Andrew, and even demanded for them to get their own medal two weeks ago after they managed to commentate on the chaotic event.

One said: "Hazel Irvine and Andrew Cotter doing a tremendous job as they usually do. 2 fabulous professionals. Bit 'making a purse out of a sows ear'stuff though with one of the most disappointing opening ceremonies I've seen in decades."

One demanded: "I think Hazel Irvine and @MrAndrewCotter should both get medals after this…" as a third said: "I’m imagining Hazel and Andrew just looking at each other."
