Strictly's Pete Wicks in pain as he shares injury days after starting training

Pete Wicks jokes about Sam's friendships in camp

Pete Wicks is already feeling the brunt from training hard for Strictly Come Dancing.

The 36-year-old veteran reality star is set to compete in the upcoming series of the hit BBC show, which is currently in the midst of an explosive scandal involving several of its pro-dancers.

Only Way Is Essex star met up with his best pal Sam Thompson, as the duo messed about on their Instagram Stories.

The I'm A Celeb winner began one of the uploads humming the infamous Strictly theme tune as Pete busted a few moves.

He then appeared to hurt his groin as he exclaimed: "I've done me groin!"

However, it didn't take Pete long to shake off the supposed injury as the pair then continued with their typical jokes and teasing.

Sam went on to take a swipe at Pete, pointing out: "You don't look much like your Strictly picture".

"Yeah it's from five years ago, it's from the calendar years," Pete clapped back.

Pete's place in the Strictly lineup was confirmed this week, with him becoming the first TOWIE star to ever step foot on the famous BBC ballroom floor.

The exciting news was revealed live on Kiss FM, with Pete saying: "It's a mixture of excited and absolutely petrified, it's fear, you can see straight into my soul."
