The Chase: Player enters the final chase solo Viewers of The Chase took to X as they became worried about a contestant. Student Ellen, who said she was studying French and Spanish at Cardiff, was the second contestant up on the edition of the ITV show which aired on Friday August 9.Fans of the show immediately felt she looked somewhat uncomfortable and took to the platform to share their thoughts about her wellbeing. @MarkBinmore asked: "Why does it look like shes about to burst into tears! #TheChase."@pantskate had a similar sentiment writing: "She looks like she’s gonna cry #TheChase." @pavarottishighcconcured: "Ella looks scared #TheChase."Meanwhile @dazzra opined: "Ella seems like a lovely girl. Have more confidence! #thechase."Despite her apparent nerves Ella was the only contestant to make it through to the final chase having secured £4,000 in her cashbuilder. After everyone else was eliminated she was left to face Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan alone in the hopes of taking home the cash prize.

Sadly things didn't go her way when it came to the last round and she only scored 11 which Jenny easily caught destroying her hopes of taking home some cash.

However, the professional quizzer did compliment the young woman on her efforts.

"I cannot give you enough credit for having a go at all those questions and putting into such a solid effort by yourself," she said.

"You may not have had the accuracy but you had an answer for everything...You're only young keep it up and I expect to see you doing very well," Jenny reassured her.

Ella's defeat came after the show ran a repeat of an episode where a contestant got an answer right despite not knowng it.

Host Bradley Walsh was left speechless when the answer to a question turned out to be "pass", much to the contestant's relief.He posed the question: "In computer security what word can go before code, phrase and word," to contestant Fintan who had £3,000 in his cashbuilder at that stage.

The bemused guest said "pass" to indicate he didn't know the answer. His demeanour instantly changed when Bradley said: "Correct," while looking astonished.
