Piers Morgan Uncensored: Host celebrates channel's success

Piers Morgan has urged fans to "keep it uncensored" as he announced his YouTube show would be off air until September. The show's official social media channel posted a clip of Piers announcing the news along with some highlights from the season.

"Uncensored is taking a brief summer pause after an epic six months since going fully digital! That's it for now Uncensored. Here's a reminder of why we're the world's fastest-growing news and views channel on YouTube," the caption read.

In the clips Piers could be seen chatting to the likes of controversial actor Armie Hammer and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters. Piers himself top and tailed the clip thanking people for their support and explaining the break.

"That's it for now. Uncensored is taking a brief summer pause to rechrge our batteries..." he said at the beginning of the clip. He then introduced a montage of clips from the preceding six months of shows which he said: "may show why we're the fastest-growing news and views channel on YouTube in the world."

Following the compilation he assured viewers: "We are back at full speed in September. I'll see you then. Until that day, keep it uncensored."

Keep top the great work!"@Jak25Cj quipped: "Enjoy your holidays Piers, but surely you can still conduct interviews from your sun-lounger with a Mojito in hand?"@siobhanw2009 chimed in: "Well deserved break, but does it have to be sooo long? Really? See you in September."However, a user with the handle @TerryBeer067 was unconvinced, writing: "'The world's fastest growing news channel' that deals with the majority of news outside your own country. A channel that conveniently ducks the real conversations that people want to see. Taking a break when the heat is up. That's not good business, as Sugar would say. 'FIRED.'"

Uncensored started life as a Talk TV show in April 2022 but earlier this year Piers surprisngly announced he was taking the brand fully digital.

He announced the news in an interview with The Times in February 2024, claiming the "unnecessary straightjacket" of television scheduling prevented him from conducting in-depth interviews.

He also said he felt moving the programme to YouTube would enable him to build a global audience. The final edition to air regularly on TalkTV was shown on 8 February.

Since striking out on the platform he has managed to attract controversial guests such as Kevin Spacey, Pink Flyod's Roger Waters and Armie Hammer.
