Stranger Things star Sadie Sink teases what's to come for her character Max

Stranger Things Season 5 teaser

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has teased what's to come for her character Max Mayfield after the explosive finale for season four. Fans will of course remember that Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) killed her in the Upside Down in the final episode of season four back in 2022.

However, Max was thankfully revived by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) but was still left in a coma as Hawkins was under attack. Production is currently underway for the fifth and final season, which means viewers have some time to wait until they find out just what happens to Max.

In an interview with Variety, Sadie teased: "They love having me run. That's all I'll say," as show creators The Duffer Brothers added: "She's going to play a part in the season. But we don't want to reveal how that's possible."

They went on to praise her as they expressed: "We did film a scene the other day with her that was just absolutely heartbreaking. I don't know how she hits those notes."

Sadie joined the gang in the second season and instantly became a fan-favourite as Max, which left her surprised at how much she was embraced by fans.

Just last month, Netflix treated fans to an exciting announcement regarding the upcoming series.

They released a behind the scenes video as the cast are currently half way through filming and revealed three brand new cast members who are joining the crew.

The video clip began with an aerial view of Hawkins High School as one of the cast said: "We're about half way through filming now, it's exciting, so much going on.

"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Stranger Things season five," as a huge red five flashed on the screen.

Lead cast member Millie expressed: "So I started when I was 10, I'm now turning 20 years old, it's just very weird."

Noah Schnapp added: "It's just so exciting, I think it's going to be the best season yet."

Netflix also announced three new stars will be joining the final season in the form of actors, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly and Alex Breaux.

The fifth season of Stranger Things is expected to air on Netflix early next year.
