Noel Fitzpatrick faces mid-surgery health emergency as Supervet left in chaos

Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick tells owner it has all gone 't*** up'

In a dramatic twist on Channel 4's Supervet, veterinary surgeon Noel Fitzpatrick suffered an injury amidst a critical operation.

The latest episode of Supervet saw Noel Fitzpatrick return to the screen, treating a variety of animals in need. The spotlight was on Oz, an adventurous outdoor cat with a penchant for tree-climbing, who had started limping, prompting his worried owners Cassie and Ashley to seek Noel's expertise.

Noel, always ready to assist, swiftly took Oz into surgery to attempt to save the cat's leg. However, during the intense procedure, Noel faced his own crisis.

Amidst the surgery, Noel endured a dislocated thumb, complicating the operation. In a moment of urgency, he was seen pacing the theatre, expressing his agony before resetting his thumb without assistance, recalling a previous similar incident.

The gripping scenes led viewers to flock to social media to express their reactions. One anxious fan commented: "Why am I watching the #Supervet? Much too stressful.", reports the Mirror.

Despite the setback, Noel's surgical skills triumphed, and post-operation, Oz was on the mend, much to the relief of his owners and fans alike.

At the close of the programme, Cassie and Ashley shared that Oz had bounced back brilliantly. As Oz was seen frolicking in his garden, Ashley remarked: "You can see his confidence building."

Noel has certainly proven his veterinary prowess after earning a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin. His professional journey has been on an upward trajectory ever since he established his groundbreaking veterinary clinic, Fitzpatrick Referrals, in Surrey back in 2008.

His foray into television was propelled by radio host Chris Evans, who, after Noel treated his dog Enzo for a spinal issue in 2008, used his BBC connections to recommend Noel for a documentary series. This led to the creation of The Bionic Vet, which first aired in 2010.
