Former TV star to host Good Morning Britain amid incurable cancer battle and 15 years away
Trisha Goddard was once a mainstay on British TV screens for almost four decades, including spells of regularly presenting on the likes of ITV and Channel 5.
Now she is reportedly making a huge comeback - but sadness is marring her celebrations, as she revealed earlier this year that her breast cancer had returned - and can never be cured. She will be hosting Good Morning Britain on two occasions next week, with a source saying that her presence will provide true inspiration to those undergoing similar health struggles.
They elaborated to The Sun: "Trisha’s personal story is a real tale of determination and the perfect piece of inspiration for people going through a similar ordeal. Despite everything she has been through, she is back doing what she does best — getting into the thick of news and current affairs on a big show."
Trisha is undergoing life-prolonging treatment after doctors confirmed that there is no permanent cure for her after her condition sadly progressed. The 66-year-old was first diagnosed back in 2008.

She now has stage four cancer - the most advanced category possible.

This can increase quality of life and make a patient feel more comfortable.
Back in 2022, she broke her thigh bone, which left her in agonising pain and was forced to have emergency surgery.
Trisha was relying on morphine to keep the pain at bay - but it turned out to be treatment for the fall which allowed doctors to discover her cancer had spread, and enabled her to get help.

She shared her stage four status in an interview with Hello! magazine, after getting tired of maintaining the secret.
"I can't lie, I can't keep making up stories. It gets to a stage, after a year and a half, when keeping a secret becomes more of a burden than anything else," she explained.
She added: "It is not going to go away, and with that knowledge comes grief, and fear - but I must keep enjoying what I have always enjoyed."
With that mindset, she is returning to ITV - and millions of fans will rejoice at seeing the 66-year-old back again, doing what she loves best.
