Yorkshire Vet stars Mr and Mrs Green's off-screen life - including TV star child

The Yorkshire Vet: David marries Megan in France

As The Yorkshire Vet: At Home With The Greens reaches its final episode, fans are desperate to know more about the well-loved couple - especially what life is like for them behind closed doors.

Channel 5 viewers have adored The Yorkshire Vet for nearly a decade, captivated by the remarkable work of vets such as Peter Wright and Julian Norton. In addition to the vets and their patients, it's the eccentric clients that contribute significantly to the show's success, like married couple Mr and Mrs Green.

Their popularity soared to such an extent that the elderly pair received their own spin-off show, chronicling Steve and Jean's attempt to transition from traditional farming practices to embrace modern techniques.

Mr and Mrs Green began their journey together over 40 years ago, tying the knot just three months after a chance encounter stemming from Steve's employment of Jean's brother.

The Channel 5 personalities indeed bear a child, Sarah Green, who occasionally features on their series, At Home With The Greens. Not much is known about their daughter since Sarah prefers to maintain her privacy.

However, glancing at her Facebook profile, she identifies herself as an "ambidextrous happy go lucky whippet mum". Moreover, Sarah declares herself as a "broken back survivor" and a "proud farmers' daughter".

Among the photographs shared, Sarah has previously revealed an image of her parents in the company of renowned vet Peter Wright, along with several snaps of her mother Jean with a cat snuggling comfortably under her roomy shirts.

In a cute throwback to 2016 posted to X (formerly known as Twitter), she shared a snap featuring Jean and a cow on the farm, accompanied by the endearing caption: "My wonderful mum and fuzzy friend".

Mr and Mrs Green's spin-off may be coming to an end but it does mean the return of the original docu-series The Yorkshire Vet. The show will be back for season 19 later this year, with season 18 currently available to watch on Channel 5.

The Yorkshire Vet: At Home With The Greens is available to watch on Channel 5 and My5.
