Emmerdale: Cain and Ella debate leaving the village

Emmerdale viewers are predicting a new romance between Cain Dingle and Ella Forster. In recent episodes, viewers of the ITV soap have witnessed Cain (played by Jeff Hordley) and Moira Barton's (Natalie J Robb) relationship hit the rocks.

Their troubles stem from Matty Barton's (Ash Palmisciano) prison stint. Moira's son Matty was arrested after Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) told police he was stabbed by the waiter on purpose.

Moira became fixated on proving Matty's innocence and exposing Samson, Cain's nephew, for his thuggish lies.

The couple clashed when Cain was helping Samson toughen up as he faces prison for his deceit after confessing the truth about Matty.

Cain and Samson were sparring when Moira saw the pair and went berserk accusing her partner of taking Samson's side and betraying her son.

On Monday (August 5), Samson was arrested for assault after he stood up to bully Josh (Osian Morgan). While the police led the teen out of The Woolpack, Cain spotted Moira smiling.

Later at home, the couple got into another explosive row where she threw a glass across the room after he grew suspicious she was the one who called the police on Samson.

Elsewhere, Cain has shown his softer side to Ella (Paula Lane) who recently returned to the village pregnant. She also found a friend in Cain when it was revealed she had killed a child when she was 11 years old.

Ella has also found comfort in Cain after her recent tragic news of losing her baby.

But will Cain stray to Ella as his relationship gets frosty with Moira? Some Emmerdale fans think so.

Taking to X, one viewer wrote: "Is Moira turning into a psycho abuser like Tom #Emmerdale, Cain off with Ella."

A second stated: "#emmerdale My spider senses tell me theres chemistry between Ella n Cain, what do you think?."
