Morning Live star Kym Marsh and Good Morning Britain's entertainment expert Richard Arnold are joining forces for Channel 5's latest venture, The Weekend Travel Show.

Throughout eight episodes, the presenting pair will explore an eclectic mix of destinations visited by celebrities like Jane McDonald, Susan Calman, Nick Knowles, and Alex Polizzi, as well as traveller duo George and Larry Lamb.

Travel aficionado Simon Calder is set to appear, imparting his invaluable travel advice, while guest experts will offer insights on everything from the best holiday books to essential travel gadgets.

The programme is designed to equip viewers with clever tips to make travelling a breeze, teaching them how to pack efficiently, avoid luggage charges, and secure the most attractive deals for overseas vacations, reports Wales Online.

Richard expressed his enthusiasm for the show, stating: "I love to travel and I can't wait to dive into these wonderful travel stories and share our own fun experiences along with top tips for the viewers."

Kym also shared her delight about the collaboration, saying: "I'm excited to be part of The Weekend Travel Show with Richard, what better way to explore some beautiful destinations from the comfort of your own home!"

Further announcements reveal that Kym's other show Morning Live is scheduled for a brief break from screens.

This past July, show host Gethin Jones told audiences that the much-loved programme would go on a summer hiatus.

The usual daytime schedule, which sees BBC Breakfast followed by Morning Live at 9:30am on weekdays, will be replaced by Rip Off Britain.

Helen Skelton announced via the official Twitter account that fans can expect the return of Morning Live on Monday, August 26.

In the meantime, Kym has been keeping busy touring the UK in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical.

Taking on the role of the infamous Disney villain Cruella De Vil, Kym is almost unrecognisable from her regular appearance on the BBC programme.

The 48-year-old star is seen donning a custom-made leather corset, thigh-high boots, and a fur coat, topped off with the iconic black and white hair.
