22 Kids and Counting's Noel struggles with 'midlife crisis as he 'turns back' on family

22 Kids & Counting: Noel is having a 'mid-life crisis' in new trailer

The Radford family, stars of the Channel 5 series 22 Kids and Counting, are back on TV screens as viewers continue to follow their busy lifestyle.

In a teaser for the upcoming episode airing Sunday night, the dad of the family Noel Radford seems to be yearning for a change.

One of their daughters is seen asking Sue if she's noticed any unusual behaviour from Noel. Sue agrees and a voiceover suggests that a "midlife crisis" has gripped the 53-year-old as Noel admits to the camera: "I think, I'm just playing life too safely."

The preview shows Noel enjoying a sunny holiday abroad and sandboarding in the desert, reports Lancs Live. A voiceover indicates that while Noel is taking time for himself, he appears to be neglecting his work and family responsibilities.

Back home, Sue is seen cooking for their younger children, appearing worried about her husband's actions.

She questions: "It does make you think, is he unhappy with his life? With his big family, me?".

Later, the couple are spotted discussing their lives in the kitchen, with Noel pointing out that they've never strayed far from their hometown.

On his own, he reflects on their living situation, saying: "I've got itchy feet and it would mean moving everyone to the other side of the world."

Sue and Noel have been together since their teenage years and married in 1992.
