Good Morning Britain's Prince Harry coverage sparks fury as livid fans say same thing

GMB panel discuss Harry's concern for Meghan's safety

Good Morning Britain fans issued the same complaint over coverage of Prince Harry.

In a recent interview, the Duke of Sussex was speaking to Rebecca Barry on the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial where he gave an insight into his legal battles with the UK media, whom he has accused of phone hacking and other illegal methods of obtaining information about him.

In the programme, which aired on Thursday (July 25), Harry raised concerns that a lone attacker could use a weapon to target his family if they were to come back to the UK, someone spurred on by critical articles about him and his wife, Meghan Markle, in the media.

The Suits star, 42, has not been back to Britain in nearly two years, with Harry citing her treatment at the hands of the tabloids as a cause for her absence.

Harry's decision not to bring his family to the UK was dicussed on Good Morning Britain by presenters Robert Rinder and Ranvir Singh, who were joined by Iain Dale and Caroline Flint.

Ranvir claimed it was "astonishing" that Harry would discuss a knife or acid attack in relation to his wife. Flint admitted she feels sorry for Harry, adding: "I think he's got a lot of issues within himself. I just don't see how this constant refrain that he has helps him, helps his family, because all he is known about today is publicity."

Viewers weren't happy with the debate as they took to social media to share their frustrations. One fumed: "It's so boring. this morning GMB tried to put the blame on harry and twist things."

Another agreed: "Typical GMB blame Harry. Caroline Flint did say media were awful to here but then went on to blame Harry for still being ali.... in the public eye and saying things about his family, which he's entitled to it involved him. Also people always mention they live in California."

"Just leave Harry and Meghan alone. It’s that simple," declared a third.

A fourth agreed: "If you would like Harry to stop having to defend himself and enjoy his life in America, why don’t you refrain from coming on TV and talking about him and his family in the constant biased debates GMB continues to create!"

A fifth raged: "Shame you all didn’t concentrate on the toxic elements of press rather than Harry. Two people jailed at beginning of year also for extremism and death threats to Meghan & Archie. This has been backdrop to his life."

But one fan argued: "A very balanced and sensible commentary on Harry & Meagan - spot on, Caroline Flint." A second agreed: "This woman is spot on about Harry. Stop yapping and go live your life."

GMB airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
