Suzie Fletcher has become a familiar face on The Repair Shop so it’s no wonder many are now curious to know more about her private life.

The Repair Shop returns to BBC One with a repeat that sees leather expert Suzie Fletcher revitalise a beloved writing case that belonged to a Second World War code breaker.

But it isn’t just the restoration of treasures that viewers are interested in with the heartwarming show’s stars giving very little away about their lives beyond the cameras.

Is The Repair Shop expert Suzie Fletcher married? 

The Repair Shop star Suzie Fletcher has been married twice before but is now single.

She had been married in her 20s but then went on to marry her late husband Rob shortly after moving to America for work and where she remained for more than two decades.

Suzie was in her early 30s when she first met Rob, just three months after making the move and was swept off her feet by him.

However, she has also opened up about the abuse she suffered with Rob’s anger worsening when he drank.

Speaking candidly to the Daily Mail, she shared that one time he had lifted her off the ground by her throat: "I honestly thought I was going to die. He was choking me and could easily have killed me. I don't know why but eventually he let go.”

Suzie and Rob were married for 15 before he died unexpectedly of pancreatic cancer in 2013 with The Repair Shop star unaware that he was ill.

She shared that before his death, Rob said that he hoped their marriage hadn’t been “all bad”, with Suzie commenting: “Despite everything, I loved him very much.”

Following his death, featuring on The Repair Shop has helped to heal Suzie. “Using my skills in such a positive way has brought me joy and confidence," she shared.

“I don't think any of that would have been possible without such a caring group of people around me.

“Steve, Jay, the team of experts, the camera crew, the producers, the directors, and the people behind the scenes have always been kind and believed in me.”

The Repair Shop continues at 3.45pm on weekdays on BBC One.
