GMB's Richard Madeley halts ITV show as he's given stern warning live on air

GMB: Richard halts show as he apologises for 'breaking rule'

Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley found himself in a spot of bother with the show's producers after receiving a live on-air warning.

The 68-year-old presenter was back on screens alongside co-host Charlotte Hawkins on Wednesday (July 24). During the broadcast, they interviewed I'm A Celeb star and musician Myleene Klass about encouraging children to communicate more openly with their parents.

Myleene, a mother of three and mentor for young people, shared her insights on youth mental health and how resources can be accessed via the Bupa website. However, when Richard asked Myleene to detail what exactly could be found on the site, he was swiftly told to refrain.

Richard said: "So once you go on to the website, what do you punch in, what are you looking for? Oh, I'm told I can't ask that question, oh I'm so sorry! ".

"We'll break rules if we do that. So I'll avoid that question! " Charlotte quickly stepped in, saying: "I think people will have the information that they need, hopefully.", reports the Mirror.

Healthcare provider Bupa is offering expert mental health advice and guidance for parents and young people on their website. Visitors to the site can find videos featuring experts discussing youth mental health.

Myleene Klass candidly opens up in a video on the website, where she engages in a frank Q&A session. She delves into her reasons for becoming a mentor to young people and shares her personal experiences with mental health and motherhood.

Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain sparked fury among viewers after repeatedly airing a clip of Charlotte Dujardin, who faces allegations of "whipping horse 24 times like circus elephant". Following the controversy, the renowned British equestrian and Olympic medallist pulled out of the Paris games.

However, GMB's decision to frequently broadcast the distressing footage has left fans appalled, prompting calls for the show to cease showing it. A disturbed viewer commented on social media: "Please stop showing that awful animal cruelty video without warnings."

Another expressed their discomfort, stating: "I've been watching #GMB for around an hour. They have shown the video of the horse being whipped around 5 times. Is it really necessary @GMB."
