Loose Women star takes on new hosting role away from ITV show

Loose Women's Judi Love leaves panel in stitches

ITV is gearing up to bring the Edinburgh Fringe Festival right into your living room next month, featuring some of the funniest acts on stage.

The network has just revealed that Loose Women's Judi Love will take the helm as host for four side-splitting specials set to broadcast in August.

Dubbed ITVX Presents: LIVE COMEDY from the Edinburgh Fringe, the comedy extravaganza will be streamed live, ensuring viewers won't miss a beat of the action.

Thanks to NextUp's curation, each special promises a fresh roster of comedians performing live from the epicentre of the Fringe.

Audiences can look forward to an hour packed with top-notch humour and emerging comedic talent every night, reports the Mirror.

Judi expressed her excitement about the project, saying: "If you can't make it in person to the Edinburgh Fringe do not worry as we're bringing it straight into your homes."

She added, "You'll be able to watch stand-up comedy, live from Edinburgh from your sofa! I'm truly excited to be hosting these four nights and sharing this experience with all these talented acts."

While the festival kicks off on August 2, the breakthrough act slots remain open, to be filled once the Fringe festivities begin.

Nana Hughes, ITV's Head of Comedy, couldn't contain her enthusiasm, stating "The comedy madness of the Edinburgh Fringe delivered with a lot of love, Judi Love! ....What more could you want this summer?"

Having launched her comedy career in 2011, Judi is no novice when it comes to making people laugh.

After her rise to fame on ITV, where she's charmed the nation on hits like 8 Out of 10 Cats, Celebrity Juice, and Would I Lie To You, Judi Love has become a Loose Women favourite thanks to her quips and speedy retorts.

Her appeal with the audience hasn't gone unnoticed, and The Sun has disclosed that Judi will be at the helm of her own food and travel extravaganza on ITV.

Judi is set to embark on a gastronomic voyage, cruising the Med on a plush yacht while tasked with whipping up signature dishes from five distinct locales.

The star couldn't contain her enthusiasm about the upcoming series, affirming: "I am so excited to be setting sail on this new adventure with ITV. Growing up within a Jamaican family, food was always at the heart of any function and occasion."

With fervour, she added, "So I'm truly excited to experience the culture, people and food of the beautiful Mediterranean."
