Mystic Veg predicts Frank Lampard could be next England manager

Lorraine viewers were left scratching their heads on Tuesday morning when a bizarre segment kicked off the show.

With Christine Lampard filling in for Lorraine Kelly during her summer holiday, ITV audiences witnessed the stand-in presenter chatting with asparagus psychic Jemima Packington.

Addressing the skeptics, Christine prompted Jemima to describe her unique method as she said:"What I do, I have some asparagus here, I would take the asparagus then I would cast it on a flat surface.

"It makes patterns and I'm able to interpret the patterns and make predictions from the patterns that I see. For me it's quite simple, other people might think it's a bit strange but it's quite straightforward for me."

The segment took an unexpected turn when Jemima predicted something about Christine's spouse, Frank Lampard.

Tyler West was eager to find out if Jemima could predict the next England football manager after Gareth Southgate's departure.

Tossing the asparagus onto a flat surface, Jemima sought initials in the pattern, reports the Mirror.

"Ok, so here what I see is an F and I also see an A and an L. So, who do we know whose name has an F and L? Could it be Frank Lampard? " she speculated.

Christine burst into laughter at the suggestion that her husband might be the next England manager, unable to hold back her amusement.

Jemina insisted, "Seriously, I'm not saying it, the asparagus is."

Christine struggled with her composure, responding: "The asparagus has spoken! Jemima, you have made my morning. Thank you very much. That is wonderful."

"We all need more asparagus in our lives. I will pass on that information to the relevant sources and see what happens!"

However, it seemed like this quirky feature didn't win over everyone as a number of viewers were quick to criticise.

One individual remarked: "Christine pretending to be interested in Asparagus.."

A second comment came from someone else saying: "Too much airtime on this ridiculous asparagus woman."

One viewer's disbelief was clear with their statement: "I've seen it all now,".

Another observer questioned: "How does it work........ It doesn't #Lorraine" while one more added: "Ridiculous she got air time".

Lorraine continues weekdays on ITV from 9am.
