Richard Madeley says Ola Jordan's behaviour 'not the worst' over Strictly claims

Richard Madeley comments on Steve Backshall's complaint

Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley appeared to come to the defence of former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan amidst a resurgence of past grievances.

Back in 2014, Ola Jordan, who exited the dance competition in 2015, was paired with Steve Backshall. Recently, old complaints from Steve have resurfaced regarding Ola's behaviour during their training sessions.

The ex-dance professional faced allegations of being cold, tough and difficult to partner with.

On Tuesday's GMB episode, Richard Madeley asked: "She left ages ago, didn't she? I thought she was great! Loved her."

Entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold concurred, remarking: "Terrific, yeah. Fond memories of our time with all the pros," reports the Mirror.

Madeley then added: "There are worse things than being a bit rude and a bit cold, aren't there? If that's true."

After a brief pause in the studio, Richard Arnold interjected: "Yes, indeed".

The conversation swiftly moved on to other Strictly news involving Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima.

Graziano recently made headlines as he was dropped from the forthcoming series amid accusations of verbal and physical misconduct towards Zara McDermott during practice sessions.

In a statement released after his exit, he expressed: "I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly."

"My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it's best for the show that I step away."

This comes in the wake of claims about professional dancer Giovanni Pernice from his former dance partner Amanda Abbington.

Previously, the actress exited the series mid-season and later revealed she was diagnosed with mild PTSD following her time on the programme.

In an interview with the Sun on Sunday, Amanda alleged that Giovanni's conduct towards her was "unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean".

Nonetheless, the dancer has strongly refuted any allegations of abusive behaviour.

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
