Suspect season 2 filming locations and format: Where was the Channel 4 series filmed?
Psychological drama Suspect is back for series two. The first season aired on Channel 4 in 2022 with James Nesbitt in the role of police officer Danny Frater and was hugely popular among fans.
The new season kicks off on Wednesday, July 17, and will see Anne-Marie Duff, in the lead role of Dr Susannah Newman.
Susannah is Danny's ex-wife and picks up where he left off in a desperate quest to find out the truth about their daughter’s tragic death.
However, when a mysterious new client Jon Fallow, played by Dominic Cooper, makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis, Susannah is forced to embark on her own deadly mission to save a life, in the way she couldn’t do with her own daughter.
Series one was set and filmed in London, as is series two. Another similarity is the unique format, with each episode featuring only two characters.

Speaking about the format, Anne-Marie said: "One of the lovely things about this show is that it has a very specific conceit.
"Most of the episodes are two-handers and that was set up in the first series and continued in the second series. It is a fantastic thing to see two actors really just playing with each other for a solid half an hour. For an actor, it’s blissful and rare on a tv or film set.
"The pedigree of actors that jumped on board was so exciting and really inspiring. I felt like I had to raise the bar each time and work really hard to match them."
Locations for series two included many spots across London, including Westminster Pier and the River Thames, where Anne-Marie had to learn a new skill of sailing a boat. Viewers will also be able to spot South Bank and Tower Bridge.
Filming also took place in Wapping with Wapping Beach and Pelican Stairs featuring, as well as the Hydraulic Power Station. Some scenes took place in Brentford and Chatham.

Speaking about the mood and feel of the series. Director, Carolina Giammetta, said: "It's really important to me that with having eight half hour episodes, each episode was visually in a different location that the locations themselves were almost a stylised character. So they're slightly heightened. It's not totally realistic.
"Equally, like the costumes, although very real. Each character only has one costume, so it is important that costume was right and that the colour palette was right."
Suspect starts on Channel 4 on Wednesday, July 17, at 9pm.
