A Place In The Sun star Laura Hamilton found herself in quite the predicament as she attempted to find a modern home on a minimal budget.

The popular show which aired on Tuesday (July 16) saw Laura assisting mother-and-son team Suzie and Ram in their search for a dream family home in Costa del Sol. They had a clear desire for a spacious, stylish property situated a stone's throw from the beach.

Their modest budget of £280k was a hurdle for Laura. Her first suggestion for the hopeful buyers lacked the contemporary appeal they desired, prompting them to end the viewing early.

The second option showed promise but failed to excite Suzie and Ram. Struggling to meet their criteria, especially after their disappointment with the non-modern third property far from the beach, Laura confessed her challenge.

Exasperated, she told them: "You really are challenging me! " Despite her frustration, she reassured the duo that the final property on her list might suffice, reports the Mirror.

As the search started falling apart, fans flocked to X-formerly known as Twitter - to voice their opinions about the challenges. One fan pointed out: "They seem quite fussy considering their budget. Marbs is expensive doesn't he know."

Another observed: "Who else thinks that Laura is getting slightly cheesed off with them."

Echoing the thoughts of many viewers, a third commented: "Unfortunately a Marbella property on a Benidorm budget does not seem to be achievable."

A fourth viewer opined: "Expectations and budget once again not matching up. And I may be wrong in saying but ... I think what son wants isn't exactly the same as mum's needs, he may have to dib into his pocket a little more and look in Marbs.."

Yet, its location on a higher floor could become an issue for Suzie and her husband if they decide to settle there eventually. As the episode drew to a close, Laura had a heart-to-heart with the couple, discussing the potential abodes.

Regrettably, Suzie and Ram concurred that none of the showcased properties met their standards, assuring that their property hunt would resume the following month.
