The sneak peek was posted with the caption: "Take it all in, nerds...we've hit the halfway mark of filming the final season and wanted to give you all a look at what we've been up to."

The teaser kicked off with a sweeping aerial view of Hawkins High School, accompanied by a cast member's voice-over: "We're about half way through filming now, it's exciting, so much going on."

The footage seemed to confirm that viewers can expect the return of beloved characters, with sightings of Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink in the clip.

Millie expressed her amazement at her journey on the show, reflecting on camera: "So I started when I was ten, I'm now turning 20 years old, it's just very weird", reports the Manchester Evening News.

Her fellow actor Noah shared his enthusiasm, declaring: "It's just so exciting, I think it's going to be the best season yet."

Sadie Sink also chimed in, saying: "We're just savouring every moment."
