EastEnders spoilers: Icon's huge exit 'sealed' and family torn apart in Slater showdown

EastEnders fans should brace themselves for a drama-filled week ahead. 

On the day of Dean's plea hearing, Linda finds it hard to keep it together. Bernie is disheartened when Jack informs her he can't make it. However, her focus quickly shifts to Linda who attempts to dodge her questions. Later, Sharon and Linda share a heartfelt conversation at No. 43 about Dean and the upcoming trial.

Elaine gives Linda another motivational talk as she wraps a gift for Lexi, but Elaine grows worried when she spots an empty vodka miniature.

In other news, Kat and Alfie attempt to discipline Tommy, but they're irate when the school notifies them of his absence. Alfie discovers Tommy in the Boxing Den sparring with Phil, and instructs him to return to the laundrette to commence his summer job.

Tommy catches Harvey secretly handing Maya money, leading him to believe he's being unfaithful to Jean. Later, Tommy goes to No. 55 and begs Phil to reconcile with Kat.

Tommy ditches his summer job and heads to No. 55 to persuade Phil to reunite with Kat.

An enraged Kat shows up and a quarrel ensues between the former couple when Kat discloses that she and Phil are a thing of the past. Kat orders Tommy home and the pair engage in a heated argument.

Kat attempts to engage Tommy at No. 31, but a heated argument ensues when Tommy refuses to apologise for his outburst, leading her to cancel their holiday.

Alfie tries to discuss the matter with Kat, but she remains silent about the dispute and he departs to entertain the twins.

In other EastEnders news, Reiss' financial woes continue to escalate as Debbie's care home reveals that he still owes them money, threatening to move Debbie if he fails to pay.

Reiss plans to deceive Sharon by lying about an outstanding VAT receipt, but quickly retracts his statement when she becomes emotional over Keanu. Seeking comfort, Reiss visits Debbie before planning to confess everything to Sonia - however, he changes his mind when she shares some positive news.

The pair are thrilled, but Reiss soon makes a blunder and decides to reveal their debt situation. Later, Reiss goes to No.

43 and informs Sharon of his error - the VAT bill is still due and needs to be paid by the following day.

Sonia and Reiss search for additional work, but Reiss gets more than he expected when he lands a temporary job with Kim at Fox & Hair. Reiss questions Sharon about the outstanding funds and Phil, overhearing the conversation, is left puzzled.

At the Boxing Den, Reiss is pleased when Sharon agrees to settle the debt, but Phil arrives and demands an explanation. As Sharon confesses she has neglected the accounts recently, Reiss swiftly makes his exit.

Sonia is filled with hope when Reiss falsely claims to have found a solution to their care home debt, but she's aware that their financial troubles are far from over. The situation worsens when Sharon shows up demanding the missing VAT receipt.

In a moment of vulnerability, Sonia shares her financial struggles with Martin before visiting Debbie at the care home, promising to take care of her. In a desperate bid for extra cash, Sonia decides to sell her house, No. 25, and arranges a meeting with an estate agent to set things in motion.

Initially hesitant, Sonia confides in Lauren, Jack, and Martin, and realises that she needs to secure her future with Reiss.

Back at No. 25, Sonia prepares a meal for Reiss in high spirits, only for Lauren and Martin to arrive and express their true feelings about Reiss. Sonia sharply rebukes them both before showing them the door.

In the meantime, Penny has a heated argument with Ravi after Avani shoplifts a top from her stall. Later, she vents to Chelsea at The Vic about her job prospects. Impressed by Penny's previous promotional work, Chelsea offers her the chance to organise a night at Peggy's.

Phil demotes Chelsea after catching her drinking on duty, providing Penny with the perfect opportunity to snatch her bar manager role. Chelsea is heartbroken when she discovers Penny's actions and begs Phil to reinstate her.
