Elite season eight has teased a bombshell comeback and scandals galore in a new trailer for the Spanish drama’s final outing on Netflix.

The streaming service released a sneak peek at the new episodes on Thursday (July 4), with not much longer to wait before it becomes available to anxious fans.

Subscribers have been tantalised with snippets of plenty of sexy moments as Las Encinas alumni association shakes up the hierarchy of the school.

Newcomers Emilia (played by Ane Rot) and Héctor Krawietz (Nuno Gallego) are the leaders of the pack of elites, described as siblings who “scatter chaos wherever they go and will destroy the lives of those who fall prey to them”.

The description continues: “Only Omar (Omar Ayuso) will be able to face them and will be willing to do anything to see them fall, because in the end, they represent everything that has always been wrong in Las Encinas.”

However, the stakes will be raised yet again as the trailer reveals Joel (Fernando Lindez) is the victim of a scandalous murder mystery.

Moreover, the bombshell return of Nadia (Mina el Hammani) is one of the biggest talking points this time around as she hasn’t been seen since she broke things off with Guzman (Miguel Bernardeau).

Also among the new cast are Alexandra Pino as Guillermina, and Mario Ermito as Pier.

Returning cast members include André Lamoglia as Armando, Valentina Zenere as Isadora, Mirela Balić as Chloe and Gleb Abrosimov as Eric.

All episodes will drop on Friday, July 26, making the final season of Elite the perfect weekend binge.

Creator Carlos Montero sadly confirmed last year that he and his co-showrunner Jamie Vaca decided now was the time to bring Elite to an end.

“I say this with great regret because it’s been several incredible years in which I’ve met wonderful actors, we’ve worked with all the directors we wanted to work with and we’ve had the luxury of having Maribel these last two seasons,” he said at a season seven press conference.

“Elite changed everyone’s life, there are actors who started with us and it has been their springboard to be now world stars, it is happening to this cast and it is a pride to have contributed to that and to know that they have seen us all over the world and liked it.”

Elite is available to watch on Netflix.
