House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock lands new role opposite Hollywood royalty on Netflix

House of the Dragon Season 2 official trailer

House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock is set to star in a new project alongside Hollywood legend Julianne Moore and The White Lotus favourite Meghann Fahy.

The actress, known for her role as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, will take the lead in the upcoming miniseries Sirens, penned by Maid showrunner and writer Molly Smith Metzler.

The series, helmed by executive producers Margot Robbie, Dani Gorin and Tom Ackerley, is a collaboration with Netflix.

The plot revolves around Devon (Fahy), who grows concerned about her sister Simone's (Alcock) peculiar relationship with her new socialite employer, Michaela Kell (Moore).

As Simone becomes more entangled in Michaela's glamorous lifestyle, Devon decides it's time for an intervention, inadvertently making Michaela an enemy.

Netflix has described the show as an 'incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.

Sirens is based on Metzler's play Elemeno Pea, written during her time at The Juilliard School. The release date for the series is yet to be announced.

Metzler's previous limited series Maid, which debuted in October 2021, received near-perfect reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series stars Margaret Qualley as single mother Alex, who takes up housecleaning to make ends meet.
