Man Utd's Benni McCarthy replacement exploded at squad in furious dressing room rant
Manchester United's potential new coach Rene Hake once told a player that he 'f***ed up the game' in a furious dressing room rant during his time at Utrecht. Hake, who manages Go Ahead Eagles, is set to join United's coaching team as a replacement for the outgoing Benni McCarthy.
The 52-year-old has previously worked alongside United boss Erik ten Hag, with the pair joining forces at youth level at Twente. He guided Go Ahead Eagles to ninth in the Eredivisie last season and is expected to join the Red Devils as part of an overhaul behind the scenes.
Following the news of Hake's impending arrival, a video surfaced on social media showing him tearing into his players when he was in charge of Utrecht. He did not hold back as he issued a brutal dressing-down of his squad, taking issue with one player who received a red card.

The video starts with Hake exclaiming 'f***ing hell' before turning to the player, who was visibly disappointed with himself as he sat on a chair hiding beneath a top.
"I think you should tell something to the guys instead of sitting with your head down," fumed Hake. "You f***ed up the game with two stupid yellow cards. That's one and second if I put in an extra defender, f***ing s*** don't give away the first zone then it's three against two in the middle and they get a goal. Unbelievable."
United have already prepared a contract for Hake and club chiefs believe a deal will be pushed through over the coming days, according to the Daily Mail. The Dutchman boasts over two decades of coaching experience, but all of his work so far has been within his homeland.

It comes after it was reported that McCarthy will step down from his coaching role at United to pursue his own managerial career. The former Blackburn Rovers striker has predominantly worked with the club's forwards over the last two seasons but is expected to leave before the new campaign gets underway.
United, meanwhile, are said to be in talks with Ruud van Nistelrooy to join Hake as part of their backroom team. He has been out of work for over a year after leaving his position as head coach at PSV Eindhoven.
The Red Devils have made a number of important appointments as of late, with Jason Wilcox recently joining from Southampton as their new technical director. Newcastle's former sporting director Dan Ashworth is also set to come on board, but that move has been delayed with the 53-year-old serving a period of gardening leave.
