EastEnders viewers are buzzing with speculation about a budding romance between Linda Carter and the Square's newcomer Teddy Mitchell.

Since Mick Carter vanished into the sea on Christmas Day 2022, landlady Linda has been drowning in despair, compounded by the guilt of Keanu's brutal demise six months prior.

Linda's been seeking solace at the bottom of a bottle, grappling with her tormented past and the harrowing fallout from Keanu's untimely end. Love has been off the agenda for the mother-of-five since Mick disappeared but could the tides be turning for her?

Teddy Mitchell breezed into Walford this week alongside his lads Harry and Barney, on a mission to find Stevie.

Ted quickly let slip that he's Stevie Mitchell's hush-hush offspring as they delve into their familial ties within the Square.

To date, there's not been a single hint of Teddy being hitched, nor any word on the mother of his children, suugesting he might be unattached. With his roguish charm and true East End flair, some viewers are rooting for Teddy to sweep Linda off her feet, reports the Daily Star.

One eager fan took to Twitter, posting: "I reckon Linda and Teddy would make a nice couple #eastenders."
