ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' Tom King's downfall in Cain Dingle kidnap plot

Emmerdale: Belle is taken away by crisis centre

Emmerdale viewers were left shocked on Friday night as Belle Dingle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) made the decision to leave the village and seek help at a mental health crisis assessment centre following a distressing storyline involving Tom King (James Chase).

The ITV soap has been exploring a coercive control plot with these characters, showing Tom isolating and manipulating Belle. His behaviour had escalated recently, including keeping her under surveillance, and took a darker turn when he became violent.

During Friday's episode, Tom began by flushing Belle's medication down the toilet convincing her that she had been forgetting to take it. However, things took an unexpected turn when Belle called the crisis team much to Tom's horror.

After Lydia (Karen Blick), Sam (James Hooton) and Cain (Jeff Hordley) insisted that Belle should be alone for her meeting, they were shocked to return and discover Belle being escorted away to a mental health crisis evaluation centre.

Tom opposed this development, trying to prevent Belle's departure. However, Belle stood her ground, insisting it was only for a short while.

Meanwhile, Lydia, noticing that Belle wasn't herself, remarked: "It's for the best, they'll get to the bottom of exactly what's been going on."

Fans also noticed that Cain gave Tom the "side eye" with many claiming The Dingle favourite had worked out what was going on.

Others suggested history could end up repeating itself and Cain could end up kidnapping Tom.

"Cain will kill him once he worked it out #emmerdale," one fan penned.

Another went on: ""Cain should kidnap Tom put him in his car boot and dangle him over a cliff and drop the t**t." (sic)

Someone else agreed: "Looking forward to Cain locking Tom in a barn for a few weeks and torturing him can't come soon enough! #Emmerdale."

A fourth suggested: "I reckon Cain and Aaron will kidnap Tom once the domestic abuse comes to light, Cain will bring up that Tom stalked Chas after Carl King died, and Moira and Chas burst in, explaining Belle won’t get justice this way #Emmerdale." (sic)

Someone else commented: "Cain is starting to get suspicious - it was only a few weeks ago when he previously had his suspicions about Tom. Won't be long till he susses him out?"
