DONE DEAL: Ex-Arsenal midfielder Tim Akinola joins Chesterfield

Former Arsenal midfielder Tim Akinola has signed for Chesterfield in League Two.

The newly promoted side have made the decision to secure the 23-year-old permanently.

He spent the 2022-2023 season on loan at the club, and subsequently spent a year at Qatari side Al Bibba.

But he is now back in England and will be playing for Chesterfield from next season.

The club are back in the fourth tier of English football for the first time in seven years.
