Olympiakos coach Mendilibar ready for Emery challenge

Aston Villa will not have an easy time in the Europa Conference League this week.

The Midlands club are hoping to beat Olympiacos over two legs to go into the final.

However, the Greek side have other idea, as they have beaten English opposition before.

"4-1 [titles] to Mr [Unai] Emery," their coach Jose Luis Mendilibar stated of their European trophies.

"My title is very fresh, it was recent," the 63-year-old continued, having won the Europa League with Sevilla last season.

"[Emery] loves European competitions. It is something different. Whoever the manager is of the opponent, the important thing is the players.

“We are here to guide and prepare them, but the players make the difference."
