Arsenal are forced to change the name of their stadium for every Champions League match due to UEFA sponsorship regulations. Gunners supporters unaware of the rule, which also affects Manchester City, were caught off guard by the governing body's pre-match promo on social media ahead of Tuesday's showdown with Bayern Munich.

Emirates secured the naming rights to Arsenal's stadium 20 years ago, ahead of the club's move from Highbury into their current 60,000-seater ground, and it has remained the Emirates Stadium ever since it opened in 2006.

Some fans were therefore left baffled when a social media post from UEFA whipping up excitement for this week's quarter-finals claimed the Gunners were set to host Bayern at the 'Arsenal Stadium'.

The same regulations see Atletico Madrid's Civitas Metropolitano Stadium changed to the Estadio Metropolitano, while Manchester City's Etihad Stadium will be referred to as the City of Manchester Stadium.

Despite the curious change, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will pay little mind to such details heading into his side's high-profile clash. German giants Bayern are struggling under Thomas Tuchel which presents a golden opportunity for the Gunners to battle through to the semi-finals.

The conundrum for Arteta, however, lies in the fact that Arsenal have a huge chance to win their first Premier League title in two decades. The north Londoners are currently top of the table with seven matches to play, but Liverpool are level on points and City are only one behind.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners respond to Bayern's poor form by opting to rest players on home turf. Jurrien Timber is the only player out injured and he could be back in action before the end of the month.

Although Bayern are 16 points behind runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, and face the real possibility of finishing this campaign without a major trophy, Harry Kane is in sparkling individual form.

Arteta has spoken out on the task at hand, making it clear that he won't take the visitors' threat lightly. "Bayern are a top team," he stated. "I’m a big admirer of Thomas, his teams and the way they play, what they transmit. I’ve learned a lot about him and looking at Bayern, when you analyse them deeply, you see why they’re a top team.

"We’ve prepared very well and we have to take our game where we want it. If we do that we have a chance to win. We know the individual qualities of all those players and [Kane] in particular, with the ability he has. The best thing to do is what we do collectively to try to prevent certain things."
