Mandarin Oriental rebrands Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has this week officially rebranded Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.

The Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh is Mandarin Oriental’s first opening within Saudi Arabia.

It is located within the city’s prestigious Olaya district, easily accessible from King Khalid International airport and King Abdulaziz Historical Center.

The renovated hotel now features refreshed interiors, advanced spa and wellness treatments, and dining outlets.

Tihany Design led the redesign of the new guestrooms and suites as well as the ground floor lobby, The Mandarin Lounge, the level one meeting rooms, Al Majlis, and three atriums.

The renovated public and private spaces feature bespoke Saudi-inspired artworks, custom chandeliers, and architectural elements influenced by the local culture.

The north building houses several new room and suite categories. The 265 sqm Royal Suite is one of the most coveted suites on the property and has indoor and outdoor spaces with panoramic views of King Fahad Road. All accommodation provides 24-hour butler service as well as advanced entertainment systems.

The Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh has nine distinct dining destinations. It includes an all-day dining venue La Brasserie that serves international cuisine, fine-dining restaurant The Globe that offers modern European cuisine and others such as LPM, Mamo Michelangelo and Asir Lounge.

Also, the ladies Spa at Mandarin Oriental has introduced a new selection of exclusive skincare products, full-body rituals and destination-inspired wellness treatments.

The hotel has a gym, private tennis court, and a 16m swimming pool with waterfalls, as well as steam baths, and scented Finnish-style saunas.

The property’s Prince Sultan’s Grand Hall holds up to 4,000 guests. Additionally, it also has a business centre and several meeting rooms.

Khalid Abu Haimed, chief executive officer of Al Khozama Investment, said, “The Al Faisaliah district, a defining presence in Riyadh’s skyline since 2000, forms an indelible part of the community’s collective memory. With the arrival of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to the kingdom, the iconic property is poised to add even more excitement to the capital and Al Faisaliah district.”

The hotel’s general manager, Richard Johnson, added, “We are honoured to continue Al Faisaliah Hotel’s legacy as an iconic hotel and lifestyle destination, whilst reaffirming Mandarin Oriental’s commitment to the region.”

Elsewhere in the region, last year, Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel officially rebranded under the Mandarin Oriental portfolio, following a renovation project covering the property’s rooms and public spaces.

In another GCC country, Kuwait, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will debut in the country with a new property scheduled to open in 2028. The Mandarin Oriental, Kuwait will feature 159 guestrooms, including 33 suites and 10 serviced apartments.
