In a recent episode of the Tunnel Talk podcast, Nick Jackson shared that there were discussions about an Elite Roulette match, which would randomly select a team to challenge them for the titles. The Bucks also suggested the idea of dropping the titles in a squash match to a specific team before the October Dynamite episode.
According to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select, The Outrunners were actually in the running for this opportunity, and some people in the company thought it might happen.
