– As noted, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon took part in interviews for the Netflix docuseries, Mr. McMahon, which is now streaming. McMahon recorded his interviews before the initial allegations regarding his affair with a former WWE employee came out in 2022, which led to his initial resignation as WWE Chairman and the company’s board of directors in July of that year. During his interview for the docuseries, McMahon was asked if he ever sees himself retiring, to which he replies in the negative.
Also in the sixth episode, McMahon voices compares how he has different “computers” in his head which sometimes work against him. He notes this sometimes makes it difficult for him to pay attention to certain things. Below are some highlights (h/t to Fightful for the transcription):
On how he views retirement: “Do I ever see myself retiring? No, I don’t ever see myself ever retiring. I never understood why people stop growing. When you stop growing, you die. Some people are like, ‘I want to retire one day.’ What are you gonna do when you retire? I have no sympathy for people like that. So…go die.”
On the different computers in his head: “I have…not two different brains, but like computers in my head and sometimes they work against me. I have one computer talking to you right now, and there’s another one going on with me thinking something completely different. Then, there’s a third one sometimes. If I wanted to tap into it, I could. So, it’s difficult for me sometimes to pay attention to things. It’s bothered me through the years because all I wanted to be was normal. I wanted to fit in. I deal with because that’s who you are. ‘Just deal with it, Vince.’ It doesn’t matter whether you want to be this way, want to be that way. Here’s where you are. You’re different. Be different. You know the expression, ‘F*** the world.’ So, that’s where I am now.”
When asked what his other brain is thinking about: “Something having a lot of fun and it’s involving sex.”
In January 2024, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and former WWE executive John Laurinaitis, alleging sexual assault and trafficking by McMahon. McMahon later resigned from his post as Executive Chairman of the Board of TKO. Grant’s lawsuit is currently on pause, pending the completion of an investigation by the Justice Department into the allegations made against Vince McMahon.
