Sami Zayn recently previewed his match with Bron Breakker at WWE Money in the Bank, sizing up his oppositions skillset. Zayn will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Breakker at Saturday’s PPV, and he noted in an interview with the Toronto Sun that it’s hard to compare Breakker against any of his recent opponents.
“Bron Breakker certainly has been making a name for himself, for somebody who’s only been here a very short time,” Zayn said. “I think he brings a crazy amount of athleticism and intensity that I can’t really compare to any superstar I’ve seen that’s come up in a while. But I’ve made a little bit of a name for myself in my own right as a rather tenacious kind of performer in the ring.”
He continued, “So I think it’s a very interesting foil, a very interesting matchup with his kind of speed and strength and my sort of tenacity and ability to hang in there. So I think it tells a compelling story, and I think it’s going to be a great match, especially in front of the Toronto audience.”
WWE Money in the Bank takes place on Saturday from Toronto and airs live on Peacock and WWE Network.
