Jordynne Grace was part of a chef-themed skit with Shawn Michaels and Sexyy Red after NXT Battleground, and she recently talked about filming the segment. Grace, HBK and Red were part of the backstage skit posted to social media in which Michaels called the PPV a “five-star meal.” Grace spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and was asked about the segment, noting she was excited to do it.
“I don’t know how it came together,” Grace said. “They just came up to me and were like, ‘Do you have time to film something with Shawn and Sexyy Red?’ I was like, ‘I don’t care if I don’t have time, I’m going to make some time. We’re doing this right now.’ Did they release one of Sexyy and Shawn by themselves? I won’t go into that, but they filmed something by themselves first that I hope they release because it’s hilarious. Afterward, they took us to some weird kitchen area, and the guy was like, ‘We have three lines for y’all to do.’”
She continued, “We filmed it twice because the first time that I flexed, I almost punched him in the face because I came up super fast. Then they had us re-do it. It’s very anticlimactic. It wasn’t super thought through. I pitched the one that they did with Triple H and the little girl, but they said we didn’t have time,” Grace said.
Grace battled Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground.
