– During today’s WWE Backlash France, it was announced that today’s premium live event drew the largest gate of any arena show in WWE history. As previously reported, last night’s edition of SmackDown broke the record for the highest-grossing SmackDown of all time, breaking the previous record set by the SmackDown in Philadelphia the night before WrestleMania 40.
Both WWE Backlash France and last night’s SmackDown were held at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France. Backlash France is still ongoing and being broadcast live on Peacock. You can check out 411’s live coverage HERE.
