– During a recent interview with Bodyslam.net ahead of WWE Backlash France, WWE Women’s Champion Bayley discussed accepting life as a WWE Superstar. Below are some highlights (via Fightful):
Bayley on her progression: “I would like to say that I’ve progressed a lot. As a person, I’ve taken all of my life lessons and applied it here, and just really accepted the WWE superstar life as a lifestyle. It is a lifestyle, it’s hard to look at it as like, this is what I do for my job. Even though this is my dream, at some point, you’re just like, I gotta go to work, gotta go to work, which can make it stressful.”
On accepting the lifestyle of a WWE Superstar: Throughout my years, I’ve realized it’s much easier to take it as a lifestyle. I think my character has really grown with me behind the scenes, you know? I try to intertwine them to make it feel as real as possible. Hopefully that translates to the audience. But I think that we’re in a good spot right now.”
Bayley set to defend her title later today against Naomi and Tiffany Stratton in a Triple Threat Match. WWE Backlash France is set for later today at the Lyon-Décines, France at the LDLC Arena. It will be broadcast live on Peacock.
