– During yesterday’s Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray discussed Paul Heyman being named as a WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 inductee. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):
Bully Ray on Heyman’s WWE Hall of Fame induction: “Congratulations to Paul. Extremely well-deserving nomination. Forget about ECW for a second. Let’s take ECW out of the equation because we all know what Paul was able to accomplish with ECW. Let’s just talk about Paul’s body of work as a performer. That alone puts him in the Hall of Fame.”
On the idea of Paul being inducted from the ECW Arena (aka the 2300 Arena: “Imagine if Paul was inducted into the Hall of Fame via live remote from the ECW Arena. I think that piece of nostalgia, people would’ve eaten up, they would’ve loved. But I do know that Paul likes to distance himself from ECW. Not because he’s not proud of what he did there, but that’s very much in his past.”
Paul Heyman will be inducted during this year’s Class of 2024 induction ceremony on Friday, April 5. The event will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia during WrestleMania XL Week.
