New York Knicks forward Bojan Bogdanovic will miss the rest of the season due to left foot surgery, the team announced.

Bogdanovic, who turned 35 last week, had already been dealing with a wrist issue before he injured his foot almost immediately after checking into Sunday's Game 4 win over the Philadelphia 76ers for the first time at the start of the second quarter. Bogdanovic got tied up with 76ers forward Nicolas Batum while both were chasing a loose ball, and immediately went to the ground in a lot of pain.

He slowly limped off the court, and was ruled out a short time later.

Bogdanovic was acquired from the Detroit Pistons at the trade deadline, alongside Alec Burks, to bolster New York's depth for the stretch run, and has played a reserve role for the Knicks throughout the first four games of this series.

That included a critical pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter of New York's Game 1 victory at Madison Square Garden.

Bogdanovic has a $19 million salary for next season that has $2 million guaranteed. It becomes fully guaranteed if he's still on the roster on June 28.

New York is already missing All-Star forward Julius Randle for the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery, while Mitchell Robinson remains questionable for Tuesday night's Game 5 with an ankle injury.

The Knicks would advance to the second round in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2000 with a win Tuesday, and would advance with a win at Madison Square Garden for the first time since 1999.
