LIV Golf rebel Ian Poulter has spent a small fortune accumulating a collection of Ferraris and houses them in an annexe at his home in Orlando, Florida. The 48-year-old purchased his first Ferrari after winning the Italian Open in 2002 and has since built up a huge collection of the cars.
Poulter, who was said to have a net worth of almost £50million three years ago, was the runner-up at The Open in 2008 but has never won a Major.
He was one of the first players to join LIV Golf and has competed at every event since the breakaway Tour launched two-and-a-half years ago.
Poulter spoke about his Ferrari collection during an interview with GQ in 2020. And the blockbuster star explained: “Growing up, all I wanted was a nice car. It equated to doing well.
“My first taste of a Ferrari was a week in an F355, which a friend of mine let me borrow. I’d just got my European Tour card. This was back in 2000 - I was 24, driving round Luton. What an absolutely beautiful car that is.
“I won the Italian Open and I thought, ‘Right, time to buy a Ferrari.’ But once I’d paid my caddy and the tax, it didn’t leave enough for one. I won the Moroccan Open in 2001, and the cheque from that didn’t quite stretch to a Ferrari [either].
“But my third victory, the Italian Open again, I thought it was an omen, and I headed straight to Maranello concessionaires [in Surrey] and picked up a rosso corsa Ferrari 360 Modena, which I kept for a few years.”
Poulter is said to be one of Ferrari’s top clients, with his annexe looking more like a Ferrari museum than a garage.
The building includes large images of Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari, pictures of Scuderia F1 successes and even overalls that were worn by Michael Schumacher at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2001.

During a 2019 interview with YouTuber Shmee150, Poulter revealed: “I had no idea [my collection would grow as much].
“Obviously the passion was there but I pinch myself daily when I come in because it’s not normal to have these cars and I feel very lucky.”
And turning his attention to his Ferrari memorabilia, he added: “There is a grey suit over there, a certain Michael Schumacher suit - 2001 Japanese race suit - which is signed. And just to the right-hand side on the shelf is a pair of his race boots as well. So my love affair with Ferrari is pretty strong and to have a couple of bits of iconic memorabilia from an absolute true legend is pretty special.”
