RORY MCILROY had an eventful start to the opening day of the BMW PGA Championship.
The world number three had to play one shot BACKWARDS and with his weak hand as well as seeing another shot snap his club on impact.
McIlroy had a battle on his hands to be in amongst it in the opening round despite being the favourite to win at Wentworth this week.

While he slipped behind Niklas Norgaard and Grant Forrest later in the day and down to T3.
