Donald Trump has an undying will to win not only in the hunt for the US presidency, but also on the golf course.
The 78-year-old owns a collection of courses from Aberdeen to the United Arab Emirates, and claims to play off a (highly disputed) handicap of 2.8.
Shortly after beginning his first term as President of the United States in 2017, Trump is said to have invited golf legend Tiger Woods, two-time major winner Dustin Johson and veteran PGA Tour pro Brad Faxon for a blockbuster two-v-two match.
According to author Rick Reilly in his book 'Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump', the match was set up with Faxon and Trump against Johnson and Woods. But they established that Trump and Faxon would be allowed to hit off the middle tees, and Trump would have a stroke subtracted on the course's eight hardest holes.
Faxon went on to explain, with great joy, the cheating antics Trump tried in order to get one over on Woods.
"On this one hole, Donald hits his second and fats it into the water," he said. "But he quickly says to me, 'Hey, throw me another ball; they weren’t looking.' So I do. But he fats that one into the water, too. So he drives up and drops where he should’ve dropped the first time and hits it on the green."

Faxon explains that, by that point, Woods had hit his approach shot into a foot for a three and a kick-in birdie. Walking up to the green, Trump is said to have asked the competitors where they stood.
"Well, Tiger just made a three," said Faxon. "What's that putt for, Mr. President?" And Trump responded: "Four for a three."
Faxon concluded: "How great is that? Four for a three! But he missed it anyway. It was really fun to play with him. He rakes every putt [as if it’s conceded], but you kind of want him to. You’ve heard so much about it, it’s almost like you want to witness it so you can tell the stories."
Woods, Johnson and Faxon are far from the only professional golfers to have teed it up with Trump. The former President recently teamed up with two-time US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau for an episode of 'Break 50' on YouTube, whereby they attempted to shoot 49 or less as a scramble team.
