Jury acquits contractor in trial involving alleged bribery of Cook County assessor employees

A federal jury on Tuesday found a suburban fencing contractor not guilty of bribing Cook County assessor’s office employees with access to an exclusive Michigan golf club in exchange for reduced property tax rates.
